Volatile oil obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of the herb. Warming & woody smell. Muscle ease when used diluted in carrier oil as massage - useful for muscles after gym and sports activities or a hard day's gardening. Good to use last thing at night. Handy oil to add to a carrier for a PMT, eases period pains (compress on abdomen). Traditional cullinary herb and folk remedy which gets its name from a greek word meaning 'joy of the mountains'.
