Purely for creative joy, I have reformulated this year’s Helios to reference the ancient trade routes and cultural influences of Ancient Egypt during the mighty rise of Ancient Greece during the Ptolemaic Dynasty.

Scentsorially, this blending of cultural influences yields a lush new direction enriched by Middle Eastern-styled amber elements, Helios 2026 invites the imagination into an extraordinary landscape of blended civilisations, emerging philosophies, architecture, temples of worship, trade routes, battles and beauty. It is a golden orb filled with vitality, warmth and joy.

FEATURED NOTES INCLUDE:- Mandarin, Bitter Orange, Neroli, Jasmine Auriculatum, Cinnamon leaf, Clove bud, Nutmeg, Ylang Ylang, Cinnamon, Rose absolute, Saffron, Vanilla, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Myrrh.

The result is a mouth-watering almondine amber with intricate layers of depth and ancient grandeur.

All fragrances are exclusively made with intention, crystals, devas, sound healing, as well as pure essential oils, absolutes, resins, tinctures and balsams harvested from the buds, blossoms, fruit, berries, seeds, leaves, sticks, stems, heartwood, bark, mosses, lichens, resins, roots and rhizomes of exquisite living plants.

Diluted in perfume-grade ethanol derived from Australian sugar cane, there are no synthetic aroma-chemicals in our fragrances. We include small quantities of filtered Australian water to soften the ethanol and improve the finished product.

From the one and only Luca Turin. “Before I get into specifics, let me state the obvious: her fragrances smell outrageously good. When I spray them on strips, and the room is filled by their chorus, I find myself sniffing like a hound, with a silly grin on my face. This prompts a thought experiment: imagine walking around in a London park wearing Amarige or the new l’Heure Bleue. You’ll be apologising to the crows and squirrels who give you side-eye. Artifice calls for artifice: by all means wear the chemical stuff, under neons and indoors. Reinthal’s work, luxurious, rich and painterly though it is, calls instead for open space. Take one of her perfumes to the park and you’ll be shadowed by one of her invisible demigods. All, I assure you, will be right with the world. 

TR fragrances give you a rush of pure intensity up top, demonstrating once again that, for smell as for sound, volume is no problem if no distortion is present. In the first 20 minutes, the joy lies mostly in their gentle-giant power and complexity. After that, I find that TR perfumes, like complex orchestral music, require high resolution to be fully appreciated. My sense of smell varies quite a bit from day to day. On some days I lose the fine details and only get the large-scale features. That is sufficient for sparse, bony modern synthetic structures, but will cause you to miss most of the fun in intricate natural compositions. Make sure therefore that you assess TR fragrances over a few days, and preferably in the morning before your nose gets dulled. What is amazing is that TR perfumes remain rich and dignified even in the far drydown, something very few modern fragrances can do”.
