Kunzite & Aquamarine set in silver (1114541)

An absolutely beautiful piece of sacred jewellery. Two faceted stones, Kunzite and Aquamarine, are set in silver.

Kunzite and Aquamarine serve to remind us that there is great strength and power in softness.

Kunzite is the pink variety of spodumene. It is a fairly young gem geologically and has only been known for the past 100 years or so. Discovered by a New York jeweller and gemstone specialist, George Frederick Kunz (1856 – 1932), he became the first person to give a comprehensive description of this stone, which had just been discovered in California, hence its name Kunzite after "Kunz". Its pinkish hue comes from trace amounts of manganese. A very uplifting stone that encourages inner peace, love and joie de vivre or the joy of living.

The name aquamarine comes from this mineral's association with water; it is derived from the Latin words aqua marina, meaning 'water of the sea'. It is a wonderful stone to be working with, connecting you deeply to the Water element. In Feng Shui, Water relates to the ability to let go, to be fluid, yielding, flexible and courageous. On the other hand, if there is an imbalance, timidity and fearfulness may result. Aquamarine is a master at working with these subjects.
