Cobalto calcite refers to a stunning pink-red to slightly purplish-red cobalt-rich calcite mineral. The name Calcite is derived from the Latin word calcit, meaning “lime.” It is notably present in marble and limestone formations. Given that calcite is so often present in marble and limestone, it has been used as a base for architecture and construction throughout history.
