Working with Chrysoprase
Posted by Michael Eastwood on 21st Nov 2025
Chrysoprase is a variety of chalcedony that appears soft apple green, making it desirable. It is cryptocrystalline, meaning it is composed of crystals so fine that they cannot be seen as distinct particles under normal magnification.
The word chrysoprase comes from the Greek chrysos, meaning 'gold', and prasinon, meaning 'green'. This gives us a clue to its healing potential. In my opinion, Chrysoprase supports our connection to heart and solar energies - helping us discover joy-filled experiences.
Through working with this stone, we are more able to untangle ourselves from things which hold us back and limit our joy in life.
