Shiatsu and Counselling with Christina Wellbeloved
MRSS, RSA.
Shiatsu is a relaxing, healing and invigorating
form of Japanese body massage. Using the same meridian and
pressure point system as acupuncture a deep, sensitive application
of pressure is applied using fingers, thumbs and feet. Stretching
and rotating movements are used to help release the energy
blockages which are reflecting physical, mental, emotional
or spiritual disorder which can account for root causes of
disease. The bodys energetic flow and immune system are
thus stimulated and can then begin to deal more effectively
with illness and imbalance.
The
emotions as well as lifestyle are acknowledged as having
a deep effect on health. It is understood that to stay healthy
one must continually adapt to the changes going on, both
inside the body and out. When changes are not made, illness
can manifest in the body as disharmony. Universal energy
called Ki, flows through the body forming a matrix that links
all the vital organs with all the other parts, shiatsus
aim is to restore harmony to the Ki flow in the body.
I have had fifteen years of counselling experience and can offer counselling
as part of the session or independently. I have treated people of all ages
from 1 week to eighty seven years old and I have had much experience giving
shiatsu to women during different stages of pregnancy as well as assisting
during labour and child birth.
I am also qualified to give dietary advice from a macrobiotic perspective,
which is an oriental system working with the energetics of food using yin and
yang principles. I have worked with people with varying disabilities and trained
for a year in sign language as I have personal experience of hearing loss.
I practice shiatsu and counselling from the Bushindo perspective, which is
Japanese for the way of the awakened heart.
Shiatsu experienced regularly is a wonderful and truly enjoyable form of preventative
health care. The ensuing sense of relaxed well-being pervades the entire body
and soul, enriching your spirit to new levels of awakening.
I am available at AristiA on Wednesdays, please allow 1.5 hours for
initial treatment to incorporate preliminary consultation and diagnosis, shorter
sessions can be booked thereafter. Further information from www.awakenedheart.co.uk
